SimpleCafe supports both Socks 4 and Socks 5 protocols; this is useful for supporting non HTTP applications such as IRC, games and utilities.

Socks 4/5 is not content filtered and it supports many different types of application (far too many to generate an error condition for each application should unsuitable content be found in the data stream)
